Starface completely changed the hydrocolloid game. Pimple patches had always been known to be invisible, discreet, capable of putting makeup over (though, obviously putting makeup on a pimple patch won’t hide much.) Starface’s bright yellow star-shaped hydrocolloid bandaids broke that standard wide open, and young people started embracing the fact pimples are normal and patches are visible. People wore yellow stars on their faces without shame and in broad daylight. Now, the brand has come out with a more sober option—star patches that come in earth-toned neutrals.
The Earth Star collection, which is available to shop now, offers a variety pack of four colors: a cool brown, a light taupe, a pale beige color, and a cream. The campaign imagery stars model and Internet star Devon Lee Carlson, who has previously collabed with Marc Jacobs Heaven and Réalisation. In the campaign, Devon is dressed like an alien coming out of a spaceship, experiencing life on Earth for the first time. She’s riding roller coasters and playing with baby chicks.
Starface snuck their new goods down a few runways this Fashion Month, including New York Fashion Week’s favorite young designer brand LUAR. They also appeared on the models of Kiko Kostadinov’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week.

The cool neutrals of the Earth Star collection make these patches an amazing beauty accessory that doesn’t necessarily stand out or scream “skincare.” It belongs perfectly with graphic makeup or bleached eyebrows. In the photo above, a model at the most recent New York Fashion Week’s new favorite brand LUAR by designer Raul Lopez wears two brown stars underneath her eyes. At the most recent Paris Fashion Week, London-based designer Kiko Kostadinov sent models down the runway wearing stacked patches for a glowy halo effect around the eyes and cheeks, as seen in the photo below..
