Sydney Sweeney’s fiancé Jonathan Davino is a restauranteur and a producer on her new rom-com, Anyone But You. They were first photographed in 2018, out with Sweeney at an Emmys after-party at the NoMad hotel in Los Angeles.

A month later, he was spotted again with the actor as her official plus-one to a Kate Spade dinner at Spring Place. News broke the pair were engaged in November 2022 as Page Six reported at the time, in response to a photograph of Sydney wearing a big diamond ring on “that finger”.

In February 2022, Sweeney addressed her desire to maintain her privacy and why she wouldn’t date anyone in showbusiness. “I don’t date people in the spotlight,” she told Cosmopolitan in February 2022. “I don’t date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it’s easiest.”

She has a Pinterest mood board for her wedding but…

She told Glamour UK that she created a Pinterest vision board for her wedding, but she said she has been dreaming of that day since she was a little girl. “I started making that when I was like 10,” she shared, adding that she hadn’t picked a color scheme. “I’m more of an experience planner, so I’m like, ‘What experience do I want to give people? Are we going on a tropical vacation? Are we doing a carnival?’” 

When the interviewer asked if Davino had seen it, she said no. “This is definitely a ‘Sydney World’ board.” She continued, “It’s what’s nice about being the boss of your own life. You don’t have to go to other people for answers, or yes or no.” 

Sydney and Jonathan are in no rush to get married

“I am so busy working! I’m a workaholic and I love it, I love it,” she explained to ET when asked how the wedding planning was coming along. “I think it’s incredible being able to work with people who you wanna be in business with,” Sweeney said about working alongside her partner as executive producers on the film. “It’s amazing having someone who cheers you on and someone who fully just supports what you do.”

She explained further in an interview with Glamour. “I’d be crazy if I had a kid or got married before I’m 30,” but when she goes home, “All my friends or cousins are married and having kids. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m behind the train right now. How can I pick it up?’ So honestly it’s where I am in the world. It’s crazy.”

She continued: “I’ve gotten to that point where I think that whenever it’s going to happen, it’s supposed to happen. It’s like that one thing in life that maybe you can’t plan – the perfect timing. I love to schedule my life, I love to know everything that is going on, I like to have a plan. I like to have my whole year scheduled out.”

On her future? She said: “I think about having four kids. I dream of teaching them how to ski when they’re little and having them follow me around on adventures, taking them on hikes, teaching them how to build tree houses, just living through their imagination. That’s something I really, really look forward to.”

Sydney Sweeney’s fiancé responds to Glen Powell affair rumors

Sydney Sweeney’s fiancé Jonathan Davino hasn’t spoken publicly about the rumors of an alleged affair between his betrothed and her co-star.

But a source told Us Weekly said their relationship had been “tested” by the gossip. “It was an open secret they’d gotten really close,” the insider said and that the rumors were “a nightmare scenario” for the happy couple. “She takes her reputation extremely seriously,” the source tells Us. “This is without a doubt a huge test of their relationship.”

On April 26, 2023, sources confirmed to People and Entertainment Tonight that Glen Powell and Gigi Paris have broken up weeks before the drama emerged. “Glen Powell and his (now ex) girlfriend Gigi Paris broke up in early April. The breakup was amicable,” the source told ET, and added that Powell is “single.”

The other source told People, “Gigi and Glen had broken up several times. They had been on the rocks since Top Gun came out. Gigi was never happy with the long-distance filming and when she came to Australia [where Powell was filming Anyone But You] they both decided to break up for good.” Another source told the outlet, “It wasn’t about infidelity. She’s on different coasts modeling, he’s on different coasts filming. When she left, they were on great terms.”

As to why the chemistry between the co-stars is so great, the source said,  “They’re filming a movie that’s a romantic comedy!” the second insider says. “It’s like when people say about movie stars, ‘Oh, they have such good chemistry.’ It’s just their job. They’re friends that met on set. They’re costars.”
