Taylor Swift’s Handshake With Brittany Mahomes
Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes did their secret handshake after the Chiefs scored a touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. Swift initiated the handshake and it started with two high fives, two backhand high fives, grasping their hands together, and then bumping hips.
The internet had quite the reaction with the handshake. “BRITTANY AND TAYLOR’S HANDSHAKE IS SO CUTE #ChiefsKingdom,” one Taylor fan account posted on X. A person replied to the thread with, “Two incredibly annoying people.” To which the fan account fired back, “you sound miserable”
Swift went all in for her support for her boyfriend too by sporting a Kansas City Chiefs t-shirt and a friendship bracelet that includes Travis Kelce’s number 87.
This isn’t the first time that Swift has been seen getting close with the Chiefs’ friends and family. At her first Chiefs game, she was seen embracing Donna Kelce, Travis Kelce’s mom. Donna went on to say that the fanfare around it has been “surreal” and that “it’s something I never thought I’d be involved with,” she explained to Got It From My Momma host Jennifer Vickery Smith, adding, “I can tell you this, that they’ve told me personally that the Kelce family has done more good PR for football than they could have paid a $1 million to a PR firm. Good for them. They’re getting the ramifications of everything.”
In the October 4 episode of New Heights, Kelce talked about why he thinks the NFL is overdoing their coverage of their relationship.c“Let’s get to it, is the NFL overdoing it?,” his brother asked about the celebrity coverage. “What’s your honest opinion? Take away your feelings for Taylor…” which prompted a laugh from Travis.
Kelce said, “I think it’s fun when they show who was at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time I think-“
“They’re overdoing it,” Jason finished, to which his brother agreed: “They’re overdoing it a little bit for sure, especially my situation. [But] I think they’re just trying to have fun with it.”
