When Halloween is over, it’s easy to skip right to Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa—but before we start caroling door to door and spinning the dreidel, we can’t forget about Thanksgiving. After all, this is the official start to the holiday season. For most, Thanksgiving is about family and food. From turkey and stuffing to cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie, there are too many dishes to count. And while it’s the one day a year we spend majority of our time at a dining room table or on the living room sofa, it’s also an opportunity to dress up.

Here at StyleCaster, we’re firm believers in putting effort into outfits—even if said outfits will only be seen by your mom, dad, and grandma. Thanksgiving is an especially joyous time to make a statement because it takes place during the best season for fashion: fall. During autumn, it’s not too cold and not too hot—making it the perfect time to experiment. You can try shorts and boots, a summer blouse with leather pants, or sneakers and a chunky knit dress. You can mix patterns, textures, and beyond. This is the time to have fun with your style.

If you didn’t already know, the right outfit can make any day—especially the holidays all the more special. So, whether your Thanksgiving plans include dinner with a few close friends, a big gathering at your aunt’s house, or a chill evening watching football—seize the moment to slay the day. Plus, the outfit doesn’t have to be over the top. Keep things calm with loungewear, like sweatpants and a cropped crewneck with booties or knit pants with a button-up shirt.

We know we threw a lot at you, but fret not. Keep scrolling to get some outfit inspiration and ideas.
