The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On is one of Netflix’s most dramatic reality TV dating shows. And this is saying a lot, considering this is the same streaming service that brought us Love is Blind and Too Hot to Handle. This particular reality show features couples in which one partner is ready to get married, but the other one isn’t ready for that commitment yet.

During the experiment, the couples break up and then date other people—from the other couples—until they are ultimately matched up for a “trial marriage” for three weeks. At the end of that three-week period, they then get three weeks with their original couple. After those six weeks, it’s then decision time.
