Natasha Rothwell, who played spa manager Belinda in season 1, is returning for season 3 but we don’t know in what capacity yet. What does Mike White have planned for her, we have to wonder. Her role earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a limited or anthology series at the 2022 Emmys.

“I’ve read all the scripts and I can’t say anything but I will say it’s going to blow people’s minds,” she revealed to Rolling Stone in December 2023. “I gasped out loud no less than five times and that was just reading them, so people are in for a treat.”
Leslie Bibb

Leslie Bibb, who audiences would know from the Iron Man movies and American Housewife series, is joining The White Lotus season 3 cast. “i am over the moon… i can’t wipe the satisfied grin off my face…,” she wrote on Instagram.
Jason Isaacs

Perhaps most famous for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, Jason Isaacs is joining The White Lotus season 3 cast. He most recently played Cary Grant in the miniseries Archer, which chronicled the silver screen legend’s life.

“For whatever reason, the producers came to my door and my first, second, third and thousandth instinct was no. Why would anyone want to play a smooth, suave icon?” he told Parade. “Then I read the script and it wasn’t about Cary Grant—it was a story about Archie Leach [Grant’s real name]. It led me to a tremendously messed-up human being who had this terrible childhood and had to reinvent himself in order to find people who loved him. That’s incredibly complicated for an actor.”
Parker Posey

Indie darling Parker Posey, known for Best in Show and You’ve Got Mail is also joining The White Lotus season 3. She most recently starred in Beau Is Afraid opposite Joaquin Phoenix. “I am feeling too sensitive for these times,” she told W Magazine in 2023. “I tell my agents, ‘Well, if you can’t find me work that I’m really satisfied with, then I’ll try to drum up my own thing.’”
Michelle Monaghan

Michelle Monaghan will also be joining The White Lotus season 3 cast. You’d know her from True Detective season 1; Mission Impossible III; and the rom-com Made of Honor. She’s also a passionate advocate for sunscreen, having been diagnosed with melanoma in 2007.
Dom Hetrakul

Dom Hetrakul is known for his appearances in many Thai TV shows and films. He joined The White Lotus season 3 cast in news announced on January 5, 2023.
Tayme Thapthimthong

Thai actor Tayme Thapthimthong is also joining The White Lotus season 3 cast.
Where is The White Lotus season 3 set?

As previously speculated, The White Lotus season 3 will be filmed in Thailand from February 2024 onwards. Janet Graham Borba, EVP of Production, HBO & Max said in a statement: “We are pleased to partner with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to execute Mike’s creative vision and showcase all that the beautiful country of Thailand has to offer, as the next group of guests check in to the White Lotus.”

Given that the first two seasons of The White Lotus were shot at Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii and Italy, the third season may take place at one of the luxury hotel giant’s four properties in Thailand; which are located in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and the Golden Triangle. Production has yet to begin, but sources told Variety that White has been spending time in Thailand scoping out sites.

In December 2022 after the finale of season two aired, White did hint at the possibility that season three would be set somewhere in Asia. He said in an interview with Variety: “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex. I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality.

It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.” He had already mentioned in an interview with StyleCaster’s sister site Deadline before season two premiered that he was already thinking about season three. “I think it’d be fun to maybe go to a whole different continent. You know, we did Europe, and maybe Asia, something crazy like that, that would be fun.”
