What did Brandi do to Caroline on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 5? Former Real Housewife of New Jersey Caroline Manzo filed a lawsuit against Bravo and NBCUniversal in New York on January 26, 2024, alleging that Brandi Glanville, a former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills, sexually harassed her while filming Season 5 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in 2023. “Defendants even encouraged Ms. Glanville to become drunk on the set so that she would be more likely to commit outrageous and harassing acts, thereby helping Defendants’ ratings without regard to the rights and safety of those around her,” stated the lawsuit obtained by Variety.
In the lawsuit, Caroline stated that tensions arose between her and Brandi on the third day of filming in Morocco when the cast members were at the home of a local chef and Glanville made alleged rude and offensive sexual comments. When the chef corrected her, Glanville allegedly responded, “I KNOW BITCH! THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO DO.” According to the lawsuit, Caroline reprimanded Brandi, telling her that her comments were appalling and put the cast in a bad light. Glanville allegedly responded, “Shut up! This is my vacation, bitch. I’ll do what the fuck I want!”
That evening, the cast filmed a scene at their villa, where a snake charmer performed. The lawsuit alleged that Glanville, who was intoxicated, came over to Caroline, who was on a couch, allegedly forced her legs apart, and put her head on Caroline’s thigh. The lawsuit claimed that Caroline pulled away but Brandi allegedly sat down next to her and kissed her, as well as put her tongue in her mouth. Caroline, who was distraught, broke free and then went to the bathroom to wash her hands. The lawsuit claimed that, while Caroline stood at the sink, Brandi allegedly came up behind her and pressed her body against Caroline’s and wrapped her arms around her. Caroline then tried to get away again, but Brandi allegedly pressed her up against the bathroom door.
“Glanville then reached around Manzo’s body and then groped, grabbed, and forcibly fondled Manzo’s vagina and breasts,” the lawsuit stated. “At the same time, Glanville pushed her face into Manzo’s neck in order to kiss her.”
Caroline cried, “Help! Help!,” until cast member Alex McCord opened the bathroom door and let her out. The following day Brandi sent Caroline a text that read: “I’m sorry I made you feel uncomfortable.” Caroline stated that she wanted to be kept apart from Brandi for the rest of filming, but Brandi was at lunch with the cast the following day and allegedly took part in a camel ride.
The lawsuit claim that producers continued filming for several more days and sought to get Brandi and Caroline to meet in order to heighten the drama. However, Caroline left Morocco before filming ended. Caroline’s lawsuit alleged claims of harassment, retaliation, sexual battery, negligence, and discrimination.
