This Eras Tour Detail Makes Us Wonder If Taylor & Karlie Still Have Bad Blood

August 2023: Karlie Kloss Attends Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

On the last day of the first leg of The Eras tour, Karlie Kloss was spotted in the crowd. However, what turned Swifties’ heads was that she wasn’t in the VIP area where usual A-listers are situated. Instead, she was seen in the upper bowl of Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California. She was dancing to “Shake it Off” and “Don’t Blame Me” off of Reputation. An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that Karlie was escorted to the VIP section right afterward. The publication tweeted, “Karlie Kloss attended Taylor Swift’s #TSTheErasTour last night. She initially was seated in the 200s sections, but at one point in the night, security took her to the VIP section. Karlie was recording some of Taylor’s performances on her phone and singing along.”

This was the first Swift-Kloss (sort of) interaction in years, so what happened in between?

January 2021: Taylor Swift Releases Lyric That May Nod Her Falling Out With Karlie Kloss

In January 2021, Taylor released two songs from her album evermore that lots of Swifties think may be directed toward Karlie Kloss. On “it’s time to go,” she sings “When the words of a sister, come back in whispers, that prove she was not, in fact, what she seemed/Not a twin from your dreams, she’s a crook who was caught.” Taylor has referred to the model as her sister in past posts and are often referred to as a twin because of their similarities. “right where you left me” also refers to a falling out in a friendship, “Friends break up, friends get married,” she sings.

She also tweeted about the bonus tracks release, “The first is a song about a girl who stayed forever in the exact spot where her heart was broken, completely frozen in time. “it’s time to go” is about listening to your gut when it tells you to leave. How you always know before you know, you know?”

June 2019: Taylor Swift Doesn’t Attend Karlie Kloss’ Two Weddings

On July 19, 2019, Taylor did not attend Karlie’s two weddings with Joshua Kushner. The “Bad Blood” singer was invited to both but could not attend the first or second one due to “prior commitments.”

Those who were in attendance include Katy Perry and Taylor Swift’s Public Enemy #1 Scooter Braun who sold her masters. Taylor revealed in a Tumblr post on June 23, 2019, about Scooter’s participation in the masters. “When I left my masters in Scott’s hands, I made peace with the fact that eventually, he would sell them. Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter,” Taylor wrote at the time. “Any time [Big Machine Records’] Scott Borchetta has heard the words ‘Scooter Braun’ escape my lips, it was when I was either crying or trying not to. He knew what he was doing; they both did. Controlling a woman who didn’t want to be associated with them. In perpetuity. That means forever.”

October 2018: Karlie Kloss Claims She’s Still Friends With Taylor Swift

In a 73 Questions with Vogue video, Karlie talks about the state of her relationship with Taylor. “I just have to get this out of the way, because the world deserves to know: is everything cool with you and Taylor?” the magazine asked.

Karlie responded, “The world needs to know? Well, Jennifer Lawrence was interested. Jen, don’t worry, Taylor and I are still really good friends.”

June 2018: Karlie Responds to Taylor Swift Fallout Rumors

The New York Times wrote about their feud in a profile about Karlie’s initiative “Kode With Karlie.” “They have vacationed together and have sat courtside at a New York Knicks game,” the newspaper wrote. “Despite internet gossip suggesting otherwise, the pair continues to be good friends and they talk frequently. ‘Don’t believe everything you read,’ Ms. Kloss said.”

May 2016: Karlie Kloss Is Asked About Taylor Swift’s Feud With Kim Kardashian & Kanye West

Weeks after the famed Taylor/Kanye/Kim Kardashian’s feud, the Sunday Times Style magazine directly asked Kloss if she thought Kardashian “was a good person.” Karlie answered, “Ha… you know… I honestly… I… I…” Kloss stuttered initially, with a smile. Then she said, “I think she’s been a lovely person to me in the past. Look, I really don’t know her that well.”

Karlie clarified her stance on her Twitter, “I will not allow the media to misconstrue my words,” the model wrote. “Taylor has always had my back and I will always have hers.”

God, she and Karlie would be best friends. They’re the same. Karlie’s such a good girl. She brings us cookies every time we do a shoot.’ ”
