To the haters, Beyoncé has always been country. During her Destiny’s Child days, alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Beyoncé proudly repped Texas with the help of sparkly cowboy hats and fringe two pieces as seen above. At the 2016 CFDA Awards, she opened up about her early 2000s wardrobe, sharing, “When we were starting out in Destiny’s Child, high-end labels, they didn’t really want to dress four black, country, curvy, girls. Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter era wouldn’t be a true country era without chaps. Of course, the queen, who is known for flaunting her curves, gave the look a Beyoncé twist in the above Instagram snap. She rocked a gray leather pair, teamed with a coordinating bodysuit and a fluffy fur coat. The red lip gave her big pout energy. As you prepare for Cowboy Carter, chaps can be a bit hard to find—unless you’re a true Texan on a ranch. So, with that in mind, I suggest looking for pants that give the illusion of chaps or seem inspired by chaps. Think pants that feature cutouts, paneling, and studs.
