Who could be in The White Lotus Season 4 cast?

While The White Lotus Season 4 cast hasn’t been announced, at the time of writing, several actors have thrown their hat in the ring to star in the next season of the HBO hit. See who creator Mike White could be considering below.

Kidman confirmed to Indie Wire in March 2025 that she’s never been approached to star in a season of The White Lotus but would love to appear in the series. “I don’t think I’ve ever been asked,” Kidman said. “I’m a massive fan of Mike White, so I would do anything he writes, because I just think he’s phenomenal. I love The White Lotus. So there you go.”

While Kidman—who starred with White in 2004’s The Stepford Wives—didn’t explain who she would like to play, the Oscar winner is no stranger to playing rich women in murder mysteries. The Perfect Couple, Nine Perfect Strangers, and Big Little Lies are just a few examples.
Elizabeth Banks

Banks revealed in an episode of Live! With Kelly and Mark in December 203 that her dream role is to be the murdered guest on The White Lotus. “I want to be murdered so badly on The White Lotus. Kill me. Please, kill me,” she said. “Tell him!”

“Everybody knows that we’re Mike White’s favorite talk show,” host Kelly Ripa responded, before addressing White directly. “Mike White, please put your friend Elizabeth Banks in White Lotus season 3 or 4. We’ll take either one.”

James told Variety in April 2023 that she hosted the Writer’s Guild Awards the month prior to “schmooze” White for a role in The White Lotus. “I want people to see me outside of the character of Ava. I am not Ava; I am acting. I’m not ashamed to be Ava, but when people say, ‘You’re just like your character,’ that’s an insult,” she said referring to her role on Abbott Elementary. “I’m doing a lot of work to bring this bitch to life.”
Hayden Panettiere

Panettiere expresssed her desire to star on The White Lotus in an interview with E! In March 2023. “I want to do it so bad,” she said. “I want to do it, like Tom Cruise jumping on [a] couch bad.”

Panettiere went on to add that Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya from Seasons 1 and 2 was her “favorite” character and that she would be willing to do “anything” to act alongside the Emmy winner. “Bag holder, shoe shiner, I will be her guardian angel, I will be her long-lost child. I will be whatever she wants me to be,” she said.
James Marsden

Marsden, who is “good pals” with both White and producer Dave Bernad, called The White Lotus one of his “favorite” shows in an interview with E! In January 2023. That’s one that I’ve been following very closely,” he said. “Yeah, I’m in for [starring next season] … Let’s see if we can make it work.”
Jennifer Aniston

Aniston told Extra in March 2023 that she woul “love” to join the cast of The White Lotus after acting alongside Coolidge in Friends.
Bette Midler

Midler told Variety in February 2023 that she would join The White Lotus cast in a “New York minute” if she was offered a role.

“It’s a big sendup. Mike White pokes fun at the worst kind of people, the truly entitled and rich people behaving badly. Everybody likes to see them get their comeuppance. I really enjoy that,” she said. “It’s the great saga of the haves and the have-nots, which is eternal. I do tend to watch the stuff that’s — I don’t want to say hopeful — but I do like to laugh.”
