Britney’s Ex Allegedly Accused Her of Cheating With Someone You Wouldn’t Expect

Who did Britney Spears cheat on Sam Asghari with?

A source commented to ET about the alleged infidelity that led to their breakup. “Britney and Sam have split. She’s adamant she didn’t cheat,” the insider said. “The two haven’t got along for a while and it finally came to an end after a major blowup.” Another source noted: “She has been denying any cheating allegations and going through a lot of emotions.”

TMZ reported that sources close to Spears and Asghari reported that Asghari told friends that he thinks that Spears cheated. “Sam has claimed Britney asked at least one staffer to shoot video of her naked, the sources told the gossip site. “Not only that, we’re told Sam believes she hooked up with at least one of the male staff members working at her home.” The sources also claimed that Asghari found footage of Spears with a male staffer in a “compromising position.”

Meanwhile, sources told Us Weekly that cheating was an unlikely factor in their breakup. “Their friends would be really surprised if Britney cheated and they just don’t see that as a possibility,” a source dished. “They believe there were other issues but cheating wasn’t one of them.”

“Although things seemed OK on the surface, there was a lot going on behind the scenes. Sam just wasn’t happy and no longer saw a future with Britney,” the source said. “They both wanted different things and they couldn’t come to an agreement on several issues such as having children.”

Sources also told the tabloid site that during their seven-year relationship that included 14 months of marriage, things allegedly got physical between Spears and her husband. More than once.

Asghari reportedly told friends Spears had “him a black eye while he was sleeping,” and that he “frequently complained about Britney getting physical with him during their 7 years together. We’re told there have been numerous fights where security has had to step in, but in one instance there was no security in sight,” per insider sources.

On August 17, 2023, Asghari issued a statement to his Instagram stories regarding their breakup. “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. Shit happens. Asking for privacy seems rediculous [sic] so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”

On the other hand, Spears posted a picture of herself on a horse after news broke of their split. In the caption, she wrote that despite all the negativity surrounding her relationship, she’s in the mood for a post-breakup present. “Buying a horse soon 🐴 !!! So many options it’s kinda hard !!! A horse called Sophie and another called Roar 🐎 ??? I can’t make up my mind 🙈 !!! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on 😜 ??? Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar 😘 !!!”

In May 2023, TMZ reported their relationship was “in trouble” before a film documenting her life post-conservatorship titled TMZ Investigates: Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom. “Our sources say Sam doesn’t stay at their home much anymore and it’s especially alarming because of how she has come to rely on him,” the site reported.

Britney Spears & Sam Asghari Prenuptial Agreement

A source told Us Weekly in May 2022 that prenup negotiations between Spears and Asghari were taking “longer than usual” and postponed their wedding. “The talks have been taking longer than usual,” the insider said. “Sam wants substantial increases for every five years they are married, should it end.” The source claimed that the discussions were taking “longer than usual” because Sam “doesn’t” want to “end up penniless if they separate.” Despite the lengthy negotiations, the insider added that Britney and Sam’s legal teams remained “respectable” throughout the process.  “Britney’s staying out of the entire process,” the source said. “She’s just letting her lawyers hash it out with Sam’s team.”

According to Us Weekly, Britney and Sam’s prenup states that Sam will receive “$1 million per every two years of their marriage,” with a cap of $10 million after 15 years. Sam also waived any claims to Britney’s music catalog and his name wasn’t on the deed of their shared home. Instead, the couple agreed to put the house into a limited liability company (LLC.) A source told Us Weekly at the time Britney and Sam signed their prenup that Britney found the details of the document “overwhelming.”

After Britney and Sam’s separation in August 2023, a source told Page Six that Sam was “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.” The inside continued, “So that’s what Sam is focused on.”

Another source claimed that Britney’s team has “protected” her amid her divorce from Sam and that “parting will be respectful.” “It’s blackmail and it’ll never happen,” the source said. Another source confirmed to Page Six after Britney and Sam’s wedding in 2022 that their prenup is in her favor. “Britney and Sam signed a prenup in her favor,” the insider said. “Any money she made before the wedding is protected.”

Sources told TMZ that Sam will not receive any payout per the prenup. He will not get spousal support, but he can keep the gifts that Britney gives him. The insiders told the gossip site, “Sam has A LOT of first-hand knowledge about Britney, their relationship, their arguments, her challenges, etc., and if there’s even a possibility any of that might become public, Britney will gladly pay Sam for peace of mind.” In turn, Sam knows a lot about their relationship and Britney’s personal life and she would have to write him a check. The settlement also includes a confidentiality clause that will require Sam to return any money he gets if he violates the NDA.
