Who did Clayton Echard get pregnant?
According to The US Sun, the person who is requesting the paternity test remains anonymous. The site reports that the woman is a 33-year-old TedX speaker and a podcast host. The two allegedly met after she was interested in working with him and his real estate agency which specialized in creative finance. She is expecting twins in the spring of 2024.
In court documents, she described their relationship noting that she did not know of him from The Bachelor. “Clayton and I met for the first time and hooked up. I hadn’t been with anyone since March of 2022 after being raped and violently assaulted and was not on birth control.”
The anonymous woman continued, “I spent the night at Clayton’s apartment, then looked at the houses with him the following morning. Afterwards, he took me aside and said he wasn’t ready for anything
serious because The Bachelor had really destroyed his mental health.”
The anonymous woman claimed that she took a pregnancy test in front of Echard to confirm her pregnancy. He allegedly sent her a message that read, “I wanted you to come over to confirm what I was doubting. And you did confirm that. So, I don’t see you as a liar anymore,” per the court documents.
“The Respondent (Clayton) makes knowingly false allegations against the Petitioner (Clayton’s ex-fling) in his Response to the Petition to Establish Paternity that would be detrimental to the Petitioner’s reputation,” the woman wrote in the court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun.
“These statements, made under penalty of perjury, include ‘Party A is making up this entire claim and is refusing a paternity test’ and ‘pregnancy has not been proven, neither has paternity.'”
The woman went on to say that she’s “offered more than 50 times in writing” for him to take a paternity test. In a statement to The Sun, Echard requested “a court-ordered paternity test” and that the Petitioner pay all the costs.
He also requested to be awarded attorney’s fees since he believed the case is “groundless and lacking in merit” and told the court they “never had sexual intercourse.”
The two are set to appear at an early resolution conference on September 28, 2023.
