The White Lotus Finally Revealed Who Died After That Shocking Finale

Armond (Murray Barlett) – Season 1

Hotel manager Armond is the big death of The White Lotus Season 1, though the show waits until the end of the season to reveal this. Once it does, however, it all makes a tragic amount of sense. Armond spends the entire season growing increasingly frustrated by the demands of the hotel’s guests, in particular, newlywed Shane (Jake Lacy), who spends the entire season infuriated at Armond for the fact that the honeymooners didn’t get to stay in the Pineapple Suite Shane’s mom booked for them.

Shane ends up being the one to kill Armond, but he doesn’t do it on purpose. In fact, all Shane does on purpose is get Armond fired—which leads Armond to sneak into Shane’s room, drop his pants, and leave a stinky souvenir. When Shane arrives in his room, he grabs a knife for protection, and when he finds Armand, stabs him in the chest and leaves him to bleed out in the bathtub. And worse, the show makes it obvious that Shane got away with it, as he’s seen shaking hands with cops before returning to his regular life.

Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) – Season 2

One of the returning characters from The White Lotus Season 1, Tanya ends up being the body in the water—the big murder mystery of Season 2. But the way she dies still ends up being a twist no one saw coming. Tanya’s husband Greg (Jon Gries) has been conspiring with Quentin (Tom Hollander) to kill her. At first, the show makes us think that Quentin only wants to set Tanya up to cheat on Greg, so their prenup is nullified. Later, however, it becomes obvious that he’s hired Niccolò to take her out.

But things don’t go Quentin’s way—or Tanya’s. Instead, Tanya manages to kill the men who were trying to kill her, with only Hugo surviving after he dives into the water to get away from her. But Tanya cannot escape her tragic ending, because when she tries to escape on a dinghy, she trips and falls to her death. We’re not going to blame the heels, but we’re also not going to say they were a good idea.

Quentin (Tom Hollander) & Co. – Season 2

Tanya still ends up dead at the end of The White Lotus Season 2, but she fights back before she does and manages to kill not just Quentin, but also Niccolò (Stefano Gianino) and Didier (Bruno Gouery), with Hugo (Paolo Camilli) only escaping after he throws himself off the boat. The events that lead to the bloody finale see Tanya figure out Quentin’s plot: he’s planning to kill her for her money. And he’s doing it all for Greg, who he has been in love with for a while.

It’s a chaotic scene, but Tanya gets the better of her would-be killers and ends up taking them all out. Of course, that doesn’t mean she gets a happy ending herself, but at least she didn’t go alone.

Jim Hollinger (Scott Glenn) — Season 3

Rick had his eyes set out for Jim Hollinger ever since he stepped foot in the country of Thailand. Believing him to be the killer of his own father, he wanted to seek out vengeance and closure for his life. After Jim taunted him about how his father was a terrible human being, Rick grabbed his gun inside Jim’s suit and shot him dead in front of his wife Sritala, and the women trio of Laurie, Jaclyn, and Kate. Well, it turns out that Jim was in fact Rick’s father as Lek revealed as she carried her husband’s lifeless body.

Jim & Sritala’s Bodyguards — Season 3

Amid a shootout with a frantic Rick, he shoots and aims for both Jim and Sritala’s bodyguards who both die. It turns out to be a good opportunity for Gaitok who takes up their job after Jim’s death.

Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) & Rick (Walton Goggins) — Season 3

Rick’s spiritual and naive younger girlfriend takes the bullet during the shootout. When she’s shot, she lies there with Rick profusely crying. He carries her body on the pier and Gaitok, using the gun he’s been afraid to use, shoots him dead in the back. The pair’s bodies float in the river like Yin and Yang, a callback to what Chelsea called their relationship earlier in the season.
