Every Yellowjackets Death Is a ‘Catalyst’ for Season 3—All the Characters Who Got Killed Off

Conspiracies. Cannibalism. Freezing. Oh my. Yellowjackets is Showtime’s staple award-winning thriller series, and these teens and adults aren’t done escaping death yet.

In case you forgot, there were two major deaths in the last episode of Season 2 of the series. Nat was stabbed and Kevyn was poisoned—dwindling down the prospects of a bigger conspiracy. When asked by The Hollywood Reporter if they were planning her big surprising death, the showrunners Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson said that every death is meticulously planned.

Lyle said, “When you’re first pitching the series and saying, ‘This is going to happen season three,’ in your head you’re like, ‘Sure.’ But [planning her death] was pretty early in season two, and I think it will become pretty clear the way in which it was designed to not only be a big moment and a big death, but a catalyst for story moving forward in season three. I think that will become more apparent to the audience as they’re watching season three.”
