Another season, another treasure hunt. When the Pogues encounter a financial hiccup after achieving their dreams of opening up shop, a new perilous journey awaits them.

Wes Genrette and Chandler Groff recruit the Pogues in episode 2 of season 4. The two are looking for Blackbeard’s amulet after Wes tells the lore of his forefathers who killed Blackbeard and his wife Elizabeth. Elizabeth haunts Wes’ ancestors and appears to them as an apparition days before their death as a sort of revenge. Wes sees apparitions of Elizabeth and knows his time is coming, but wants to find the amulet so that they could break the family’s curse. The Pogues are hesitant and first but JJ convinces the group because of the amount of money they need to run Poguelandia.

Wes pens down a letter to JJ addressed to him as Master JJ Maybanks where he tells him to ask his father Luke about “Albatross.” However, Wes Grenette dies under mysterious circumstances and police noted that he was strangled to death. With villains appearing in every corner this season, who could the culprit be?
