Are Veronica and Jamal still together from 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life? They do follow each other on social media, which as we’re all aware is a decent indicator. The last photo they took together was posted on January 8, 2024, and while they don’t post about each other a lot, that’s likely due to the fact that they live in different states; he’s in California, she’s in North Carolina.

On his Instagram account, he makes it very clear that he’s still in San Diego (through the drop pin emoji) and has not moved to Charlotte as Veronica would like. One big reason Jamal doesn’t want to move is because Veronica’s ex, Tim, is “always in [his] ear”.

Their long-distance relationship has proven to be a sore point for the couple. When they revealed to everyone in early January that they were “exclusive” (after previously saying they were in an open relationship, more on that later), Veronica said Jamal was “not a great communicator,” which made Veronica question their future. “You suck at communication,” she told him in a clip for the show. “You don’t text back at all.”

Jamal said he felt like they didn’t need to “talk 24/7”, explaining that, “I’m more of a face-to-face person, that’s always been my vibe,” he said. “Like, when we’re here, we’re here. But Veronica takes it personally when I’m not available to her and I can see maybe an insecurity of her thinking like, ‘Oh, he just doesn’t care to talk to me,’ but that’s never been the case.”

Veronica told the cameras, “I want to settle down, like, forever-ever with someone and I just want things to keep going well for Jamal and I’s relationship,” she said. “I think it’s worth the risk but if he hurts me, it, you know, could crush me.”

In December 2022, Veronica—who fans would know from Single Life season 3 before her return to season 4—revealed that she was dating a fellow cast member’s son. Kim, who’s appeared on 90 Day Fiancé Before the 90 Days, 90 Day Fiancé Pillow Talk, 90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After, and 90 Day Diaries, is Jamal’s mom.

At the time, Veronica and Jamal stressed that they weren’t in an exclusive relationship and Jamal admitted that he was sleeping with other people, but Veronica said she was too “lazy” to pursue anyone else.

Veronica’s relationship with a man named Justin didn’t work out and her close relationship with her ex, Tim, has raised eyebrows in the past. “I’ve never seen Veronica date someone younger, she constantly gives me s—t for the age difference between me and my girlfriend. It’s not just that though, like, it sounds super negative but, like, again, it seems like a waste of time,” Tim said.

In an episode of the show aired on January 22, 2024, it’s revealed that Josh paid a lump sum for a one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles for Natalie and her mom, who just immigrated from Ukraine. When she was asked if she was mindful about her housing situation she said, that she “did” think about it.

“Well, to be able to rent an apartment you have to have credit score which I never had and also if it’s your first ever place to rent, I have to have a guarantor or someone who would help to be more secure to lend, so when it went down to me looking for a place, I got a lot of refusals because people would say, ‘Oh you’re from Ukraine, from country of war … you have no credit score,’ this, this, this, this and I would get refused a lot and as [Josh] came up and he helped to negotiate and I think with his help it went much easier for me to find home.”

She also revealed whether her mom prefers Josh or former husband Mike Youngquist. “Having my mom around is kind of tough because I’m also kind of building a relationship with Josh and she puts her opinion on everything,” she shares. “She kind of tries to figure out how it’s possible when I left my marriage, and I was trying to build another relationship so it’s hard for her, yeah. She loves Michael.”

Though from her previous love life, she’s reflected her role in romantic relationships. “I believe that I do mistakes a lot and … I think I have to learn more on myself to improve myself.” She continued, “Four years of marriage and I never had even a permit from my marriage,” she revealed as Mike never got the proper spousal immigration paperwork. “This is the sad truth.”

In season 4, episode 3, Tim and Luisa have their first date. They play croquet. “I know that we have a connection,” Luisa told the camera in a confessional. “And he smells so good.”

They discussed their non-negotiables with a partner and while she said she loves public displays of affection, he has to take things one step at a time. “I’m Southern, you gotta understand that we take things slowly,” he told her.

“I am looking for love, I am looking for a long-term partner, I just want to get to know them,” he said later during a confessional. “I’m not looking for notches on the belt, I’m looking for a sustainable, long-term relationship.”

Even though 90 Day Fiance fan-favorite Tim made his debut on the franchise with then-girlfriend Jeniffer from Colombia, it is his previous relationship with his ex-fiancé, Veronica, that has really captivated viewers. Tim is paving his way in dating once again this season, with the support of Veronica who’s on the show to find love herself. Will he find his true love this time around with the help of his ex-fiancé and bestie?  

Tim spoke with ET about how some of his and Veronica’s respective partners have felt threatened by their now-platonic relationship. “People see us on television. We’re laughing, having a good time, usually on Pillow Talk. … But Veronica and I also have a a negative side of the relationship, just like anyone else, where, you know, we still get in arguments and have disagreements, and to be honest at the age we are now, Veronica and I don’t have a lot in common as far as activities and things that we enjoy doing.”

In episode 4, season 4, Debbie’s son Julian takes her shopping in the pharmacy where she stocks up on some warm-weather necessities. “I’m willing to meet Ruben on his turf,” she said, meaning Miami, “and see if we can make a go of it because I don’t want to sit behind closed doors and think about what could’ve been. It’s like hopping into one of those romance novels.”

Julian is less than enthused about their relationship, however, expressing his concern that she decided to pack up to meet him in Miami for their first date. Mom, I’m not comfortable talking about condoms with you,” he said as she plucked a box from the shelves.

“Let’s just say Miss Debbie must be prepared. I’ve met somebody. His name is Ruben and he likes me,” she told him. “And whether you like it or not, I’m going to Miami on a hot date.”

To the camera in a confessional, Julian said: “I want my mom to find love. She’s a great woman. She’s got a big heart, she’s funny. She’s smart, but it’s like she’s flying off the seat off her pants and she just gets excited and wants to do all of this abnormal stuff. … I’m not big on my mom going to Miami because she’s met some guy online. That’s what happened last time but in Morocco.”

The man she met in Morocco was Oussama from 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way and it didn’t pan out so well.
