We Honestly Can’t Believe the Two People Who Went Home on Survivor 47

Week 1: Jon Lovett

Status: Eliminated Week 1

Pod Save America host and former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett was voted out on week 1. After a strong start with the team challenge in Team Gata, the whole gang seemed to get along pretty well. However, once Andy started to freak out and all of his insecurities started to arise, it became hard for Gata to focus. They lost the immunity challenge and Andy had a breakdown where he overheated and threw Jon under the bus. Gata thought that they needed Andy’s strength rather than Jon’s brains, so they voted him out.

Week 2: Terran ‘TK’ Foster

Status: Eliminated Week 2

TK helped secure the team with supplies in episode 1, but with a divide between genders with Tuku, it was hard to gauge who was really teaming up with who. TK made fun of Tiyana who was smiling after they won the immunity challenge and it further caused a rift. Tuku was deciding between Sue and TK, but TK eventually got the boot while Gabe played out his immunity idol before a 4-2 vote.

Week 3: Aysha Welch

Status: Eliminated Week 3

Throughout the episode, Aysha was always suspicious of Rome and his intentions when he was out looking for an idol. With four of Lavo having an alliance, she and Sol partnered out to stay in the game for as long as they can. When they lost the physical challenge, the two were the most vulnerable to be eliminated. Rome did in fact use his immunity idol and the majority voted the Survivor podcaster out.

Week 4: Kishan Patel

Status: Eliminated Week 4

Tensions arose in Lavo again after they lost this week’s immunity challenge. Rome finally used his steal a vote advantage and though Sol was a contender to exit the game, he used his additional vote to vote Kishan out.

Week 5: Anika Dhar

Status: Eliminated Week 5

After a never-before-seen Survivor challenge, members of the Gata tribe enjoyed Survivor social hour where they got to mingle with several members from the other tribes. After Gata lost the immunity challenge, Andy was going to be the main person who everyone wanted out. But Sam wanted Anika out immediately. With Anika losing her vote after going on a journey, Sam, Andy, and Sierra blindsided Anika to a very emotional elimination.

Week 6: Rome Cooney

Status: Eliminated Week 6

Even after the merge, Rome was still trying to pinpoint and play his game. Everyone saw his true colors when Kyle revealed the truth that he was talking trash about everyone else. It might have been a blindside to him when he planned to take Sol out, but mostly everyone wanted him out when they convened after the challenge. He took Jeff’s place up temporarily and the Teeny, Andy and Genevieve used the amulet to protect Teeny, and Rome made an amicable exit.

Week 7: Tiyana Hallums

Status: Eliminated Week 7

Tensions between Gabe and Tiyana were very apparent since the beginning of their time in Lavo. After Rachel used her Power of the Vote after it was given by Sol, all plans were up in the air and Tiyana became the easy target and all plans to vote Gabe were out. In a tearful exit, Tiyana showed a clear game after the merge.

Week 8: Sierra Wright

Status: Still Standing

The Margarita curse is real! Plans to split up Sierra and Sam were ruminating around the tribe and it was finally solidified after Andy betrayed his fellow Gata members. He rallied the rest of Lavo to blindside Sierra and she became the first member on the jury.

Week 9: Solomon ‘Sol’ Yi

Status: Eliminated Week 9

After winning the reward challenge, Genevieve spearheaded the blindside that Sol was going to go home. Tribal Council was up in the air with different answers as Sue and Sol were the two main targets, but after long hard decisions, Sol went home in a near-unanimous vote bringing Teeny to tears.

Kyle Ostwald

Status: Eliminated Week 11

Kyle was a powerhouse when it came to immunity challenges—winning up to four in a row. And once that immunity was taken away, he easily became a target for the group. At tribal council, he played his game pretty right, but it wasn’t enough to push him to the final seven.

Week 10: Gabe Ortis

Status: Eliminated Week 10

Gabe had a strong start by already finding an immunity idol early on in the game, but he had a clear target on his back by his fellow Tuku tribe members. He was blindsided by everyone including his former Tuku tribe members Sue and Kyle, and is the third member on jury.

Caroline Vidmar

Status: Eliminated Week 12

After Sam won the reward challenge which gave him the choice to bring Andy and Genevieve to the Sanctuary, Andy probably devised the most impressive gameplay in the New Era of Survivor. Operation Italy targeted Rachel for a split vote between the Underdog alliance, using none other than the threat of a fake immunity idol. But once Rachel won Immunity during the Immunity challenge, Caroline became the target and with a blindside vote from Andy, Sam, and Genevieve, she wento home and Andy took pride in his accomplishments.

Week 12: Andy Rueda

Status: Eliminated Week 12

Oh Andy—from having a panic attack on the first day on the island to successfully pulling off Operation Italy, you can’t deny that this guy had game. After he laid down his plan to target Rachel, Rachel decided that she would play her immunity and to target Andy instead of her original target Sam. It worked, and good ol’ Andy ended up on the jury.

Genevieve Mushaluk

Status: Eliminated Week 12

If I had to describe Genevieve and Rachel’s dynamic, it would be like a Diad in the Force (for all you Star Wars fans out there). They had similar strategies, but came neck in neck with each other. Once Rachel landed her third immunity challenge win, Genevieve revealed that her idol was in fact fake and caused panic in the tribe. Though one person believed that she was lying, the majority decided to vote her out.
