Sad day for Bachelor Nation. They were one of the most popular couples of the season and many Bachelor fans are asking why Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby broke up.

Michael and Danielle were one of the final six couples on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 and left together but didn’t get engaged. During the “After the Final Rose” special, Michael and Danielle confirmed they were still together after leaving Bachelor in Paradise season 8, according to Reality Steve. Reality Steve also reported that Danielle is moving to Ohio, where Michael lives, to be closer to him, though they’re not moving in together. “They are taking things slow,” Reality Steve wrote.

The two were mostly private about their relationship but posted about the fun activities they did with each other. Michael revealed why they do so in the She’s All Bach podcast. He said that they “love each other, like, very much,” but wanted to “keep things private.”

“Being in a public relationship, it isn’t fun,” Michael revealed. “Danielle and I, like, both agree that the only people that should be in our relationship are us two. So we think just the healthiest way to have a relationship is to keep it private.”

So why did Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby break up? Read more to find out.
