Do you suppose you’re a wildflower? Or maybe a shrug, cactus, or tree? As you take in the natural beauty around you, you may wonder which plant you are, based on your zodiac sign. Whether you’re blooming with color, or standing tall and formidable, you’ll surely find a plant that aligns with your cosmic energy.

Although plants can’t speak our language, they have a way of diffusing their energy throughout any space. Whether your tiny apartment is being overtaken by a gang of Monstera plants or you can barely keep your succulent alive, we can’t help but feel drawn to their green, oxygenating properties. If your living space feels stale, boring, or even unhappy, you know getting a house plant is always a quick fix.

Before we get into which plant captures your zodiac sign, let’s unpack the term “plant.” What constitutes a plant, exactly? You don’t have to be a botanist to know that. There are many ways to classify and categorize plants. You could familiarize yourself with the plant’s Latin names, vascular or non-vascular systems, seed- or spore-bearing properties, and more. But to keep it simple, you should know the five major groups of plants: halophytes, bryophytes, pteridophytes, gymnosperms, and angiosperms. Don’t get intimidated by the scientific names. You’re more familiar with these plant groups than you realize. For example, barley goes in the halophyte group, mosses fall under bryophytes, ferns go under pteridophytes, pines belong to gymnosperms, and roses go with angiosperms. Aside from the scientific classifications, plants are characterized by their spiritual meanings, magical properties, and folklore. No matter if you feel called to a tree, shrub, creeper, crawler, or bud, you will have so much to learn about the plant that has captivated you.
