Mendelsohn is the daughter of fashion veteran Kara Mendelsohn. Despite her parents being in the business for a while, they raised her to do things independently and with a money-savvy mind. “It definitely gave me a sense of freedom,” she told our sister site SheKnows. “I could do certain things that I wanted to do, like trips or things with my friends, that you usually would have to ask your parents to give you money for. I didn’t have to do that. So that was really nice. But my parents always instilled in my head, ‘You need to save your money, you need to invest your money.’ And even now, I’m very careful about my money because of them.”
With all that wisdom under her belt, she garnered an audience of over 3 million followers. She’s been making videos since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and has tried nearly every beauty trend that has crossed her FYP.
