Agatha All Along’s Sasheer Zamata Tests Her Marvel Knowledge in a Game of Trivia
Marvel trivia is absolutely serious for Sasheer Zamata! The actress plays Jennifer Kale in Marvel’s new Disney+ series Agatha All Along and pulled out all the stops when we asked her questions about the superhero franchise.
The Saturday Night Live alum was extremely excited about the role when it was announced since she’s a big fan of Marvel, especially Agatha All Along‘s direct predecessor Wandavision, “When I found out they were doing a spinoff based on witches I remember telling my reps, ‘I do need to be seen for this, like this is the WandaVision people,'” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “The creator, Jac Schaeffer, is so smart and I really think she’s creating a whole different tone for Marvel; we’re able to do so many other things you haven’t seen before. I’m such a fan of all the action, and they’ve taken a lot of creative license with these characters. I’m excited for people to see the amount of emotion and depth we can really reach with these characters.”
Her character Jennifer Kale is a potions witch who dabbles in organic skincare apothecary. She and other witches Lilia Calderu (Patti LuPone), Alice Wu-Gulliver (Ali Ahn), and Teen (Joe Locke) help Agatha travel the Witches’ Road in order to restore her powers, but like with any road, they encounter some speed bumps and demons who threaten their plan of completing the journey.
